RFID Project - ....progress...40%

Woohooo...mr cheng super gd...
do the whole basic coding of our project for us lo....
our project is to do a register student card and attendance marking system by simply tap the ezlink card....
today going to present the 40% of our project....
think my group (me & weixian), finish the coding quite early...
and present it quite successfully....
is jus we still nid to edit many things ya!!!!!
if we wan get good mark, our project still nid to improve alot...
the interface, the database, the coding part, how many extra features we can add....
but all this...to me...quite same with WAD (web application & development) module...
or the EAS (E-Application & Security) module...
so...think can do a good one...

MR CHENG scold me today lo....T.T >.<>-<
probably im not listening to him in class....
but i lost my hp...bo bian....busy trying/finding/thinking someway to find out my hp....

teacher tell us to start our project ah....
but....we still got EAS,PCS....omgomg.... no time no time....

Lift_Java_RFID

wow....today we have learned to program the lift....
never noe that the lift we used everyday is quite easy programed....
(today we used java to program)
and....add on another thing...
we also use the RFID card (which oledy been programed??)!!!
after we tap the card, it automatically bring us to the level which is written inside the RFID card.
It means that....RFID technology can be implemented in as access control system!!!
mayb all the resident in a condo, will be given one RFID card,
they must tap the card to operate the lift,
thus, they can only go to the level where they stay....
this can prevent outsider from disturbing the residents...

so cool!!!....
not sure whether this has been implemented at any places?

RFID Project

helloo....long time never blog edi....
jus come back from 3 weeks holiday ya....
and the first day, MR Cheng has anouced that.....
we nid to start RFID project!!! omg=.=
we nid to do a project which able for attendance taking in class,
using Felica Reader, and can read ez-link card...
aaa...not familiar with visual basic ya...think nid more time in doing this project..

Y THIRD YEAR SO MANY PROJECTs...!!!
5 core modules, 4 project-based...*faint*
every project is programming!!! =.=
very hard for me ya!! (cos im a girl...u noe!??!)

Tags

Yeah..finally have the first touch of RFID tags and the reader.
Today, we have been taught the different uses of UHF & HF tags.
We have done a small experiment on these tags.
The reader of UHF tag is very big lo.. so can detect the tags more easily.
We place the tags differently on top of the reader and find out which type of orientation can be read by the reader.
We also test out how far the tags can be read by the reader.
HF tags-13.5cm (suitable for book loan in library)
UHF tags- 1080cm

Omg, far rite? the UHF tags...lol
In Singapore, UHF tags have been inplemented in the ERP system.
No wonder the ERP gate so high also can detect the card inside the car.
I think RFID wont be so popular in Sg bcos of the ERP..lol

1st day

Finally, im now year 3...last year studying in NP.
and Today...... is our first day of school!!! yay!!!
and our first lesson for the year 2008/2009...is RFID...

RFID stands for Radio Frequency Identification...
Our RFID lecture- Mr Cheng Kong Chit, has told us to do a journal for this module,
and i have used this blog to do my journal...

First lesson, erm...can say is very dull...
mr cheng is now explaining wat is RFID,
but we hav learned some during last sem module.
So,,,basically, we are all hoping to have a practical lesson,
so that we can "feel" the RFID tags...
rather than listen to the lecture on how to use the RFID...

waa...so fast..first day nid to do assignment 1 liao =.=
hope i can get high high marks for this module...
